The
markdown-it-katexpackage now has 6 PRs to update the ancient KaTeX version and apparently the maintainer is not going to merge any of the PRs for some reason (perhaps they're just busy or no longer maintaining the package?)Thus I created a fork with an updated KaTeX (including tests) and used it here.
Closes #59
